Job summary

HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC is seeking a Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator (PRN) to support perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical setting. The role requires an IL-licensed RN with active BLS/PALS/ACLS and at least two years of OR circulating experience.

You will work under the OR Manager to deliver patient-centered care, ensure aseptic practice, and contribute to safe, efficient surgical cases while documenting care and communicating clearly with the team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License - IL.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications.
• Two years of operating room circulating experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care within the nursing process across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases.
• Assist the surgical team, anticipate surgeon needs and maintain sterile technique.
• Document care accurately and report findings for continuity of care.
• Participate in patient flow and turnover to support OR efficiency.

Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator (PRN)

Salary Range: $35.00 - $53.00 per hour, based on skill and experience level.

The posted pay range reflects the range for this position. Actual pay will be determined based on candidate's relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The delivery of patient care through the framework of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis and patient outcome) in the preoperative, interoperative and postoperative phase of the surgical patient.

Education/ Experience

• Minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse License - IL
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications
• Two years of operating room circulating experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Demonstrates current, comprehensive professional knowledge and skills in conformance with recognized nursing standards and department policies including the Patient Bill of Rights and AAAHC regulations, Standards for Nursing Care and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Assesses physiological and psychosocial health status of patient.
• Assesses pain per policy.
• Completes patient history.
• Verbally reports pertinent information to appropriate staff to provide continuity of care.
• Legibly documents information in patient record and signs record using appropriate professional title.
• Assesses level of understanding and expectations of care.
• Identifies desired patient outcomes.
• Establishes nursing diagnosis.
• Establishes patient/family goals that are mutually acceptable.
• Formulates Plan of Care for the patient.
• Implements nursing care plans tailored to patient/family needs.

• Demonstrates proper procedure and documentation for surgical case counting.
