Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Sulphur Springs, TX is seeking an experienced RN for per diem, 5 days a week with 8-hour shifts. The nurse will provide independent nursing care, assess patient needs, document care, and educate patients and families as part of an integrated clinical team.

This role requires BLS, a Texas RN license (or compact) and BSN preferred, with 1 year of related nursing experience. Per diem scheduling supports contingency staffing and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.

• Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.

Summary:

The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
