Job summary

Trinity Health Oakland Hospital in Michigan seeks an experienced Operating Room nurse for a 12-hour day shift. You will maintain a safe, efficient operating room environment for hospital staff, physicians, and patients.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with policies and OR scheduling, and executing efficient daily OR schedule administration. Requires Michigan RN license, BSN preferred, BLS, and 6 months to 1 year OR experience.

Qualifications

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License.
• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
• BLS.
• 6 months - 1 year of experience/knowledge of Operating Room practices, policies, and procedures.

Description: Trinity Health Oakland is Level 2 Trauma Center, with 15 operating rooms that average 35 cases/day. Our mission is to provide the highest-quality care to every patient who requires a surgical intervention. We care for both inpatients and outpatients for the following types of elective/urgent/emergent service lines: Acute Care Surgery, Colorectal, General Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, and Vascular; as well as off-shift Endoscopy. Our nursing staff is supported 24/7 by department-based Anesthesiologists. We have the distinction of being a Certified Joint Center of Excellence as well as a Robotic Center of Excellence.
