CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room South in Springfield, MO. The role requires assessing patients, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and educating patients and families.

Qualified candidates will graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold an active Missouri RN license, and obtain BLS within 90 days. The position offers an evening shift with 36 hours weekly and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Active RN license in Missouri required or must be in process.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and response to treatment.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.

• Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate records.
• Provide patient and family education and support.

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Registered Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience:

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
