Job summary

Northwell Health in the Hudson Valley region seeks an experienced Operating Room RN to provide specialized perioperative nursing care for diverse patient groups. You will apply the nursing process to ensure continuity and quality of care in collaboration with the surgical team on the unit.

The ideal candidate holds a NYS RN license and has at least 1 year of OR experience, with BCLS required and CNOR/ACLS preferred. This role works within the Northwell system at a major hospital campus in NY.

Qualifications

Summary

Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for the continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care department.
