Job summary

SCA Health in Oak Brook, IL is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room to join our perioperative team. You will contribute to patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical setting within Optum's network.

The ideal candidate has OR experience, a valid RN license, and BLS/ACLS (PALS if pediatric care is included). We offer comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay in the 50–60 USD range.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within 90 days of employment.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.

• Successful completion of Pediatric Advance Life support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.
