Job summary

SCA Health in Birmingham is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room to deliver safe, patient-centered perioperative care. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and circulating staff to implement individualized plans and uphold our mission and core values.

The role requires current RN licensure, OR experience, and certifications (BLS/ACLS; PALS if pediatric care is within scope).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• PALS certification is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALScertification.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accrediteds school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical / surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current statenursinglicensure to practiceingood standings.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion ofPediatric Advance Life support(PALS)course is required whenpediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within90 days of employment or documentation of current PALScertification.
• Specialty certification inPerioperativeNursing is preferred.
