Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to provide high‑quality patient care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with the health care team to plan, implement and evaluate care plans for assigned patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires a nursing degree and Texas license, BLS certification, and current RN experience. ACLS/PALS are preferred and must be obtained within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification required.
• ACLS and PALS preferred but must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Approximately 12 months of RN work experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment using communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family care.
• Communicates with the team, patients and families and ensures understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and the facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely written patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapy safely and timely.
• Demonstrates accountability for performance and professional growth.
• Applies the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the episode.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
