Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.

You will provide direct and indirect care, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs, and support the system's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• ACLS and PALS required within 30 days of start date.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant education process.
• Communicates with the team, coworkers, patients and families and ensures understanding of information.
• Creates a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapies safely and timely; participates in professional growth and development.

Your Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Work experience: 12 months of RN experience

• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.
