Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, Colorado, is seeking a registered nurse to assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, and provide compassionate care within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing (with Bachelor’s preferred), current RN license, BLS, and 1+ year of medical-surgical experience; surgery experience preferred. Day shift, full-time, with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
  • Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
