Job summary

St. Thomas Surgery Center – Midtown is seeking an Experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team.

The Circulating RN will position and prep patients, circulate cases, and support various surgical specialties with focus on patient safety and efficient intraoperative care. Qualifications include RN licensure in Tennessee with CPR and ALS certification, and at least one year of intraoperative experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active TN RN license.
• CPR and advanced life support certification required.
• One year experience required intra-operative setting.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Position the patient and prep for surgery as Circulating RN.
• Circulate cases and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Work across specialties including Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Operating Room Registered Nurse at St. Thomas Surgery Center – Midtown

The Registered Nurse Circulator provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The Circulating RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.
