Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking aRegistered Nurse for the Operating Room in Grand Blanc, MI. The candidate will deliver nursing care within the OR scope, following hospital policies and standards, and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative period.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program graduate, Michigan RN license, and certifications (ACLS, PALS/TNCC/ENPC, NRP as applicable). The role is full-time with a 7:00am–4:30pm schedule and a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current State of Michigan RN license.
• ACLS required within six months of hire; PALS, TNCC and ENPC within one year for Emergency Department; NRP within one year for OB Department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care within the assigned unit following hospital policies, nursing process guidelines, standards of care and practice.
• Assess each assigned patient, document response to plan of care and take corrective action.
• Plan and implement the plan of care and provide patient teaching using the plan of care.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.

2. Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.

3. Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in specialty area will be considered. Experience specific to the unit/position may be required to maintain overall competency level of unit, as required by regulatory agency.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS required within six months of hire.
• PALS, TNCC and ENPC within one year for Emergency Department.
• NRP within in one year for the OB Department.

Preferred:

• One year of professional nursing experience.
