Job summary

Randolph Health is seeking an RN with current North Carolina licensure to provide direct and indirect care in the acute care setting. The role requires quick, accurate response to changes in patient condition and effective communication with physicians, nurses, and staff.

The RN will direct care and supervise support personnel, and may act as unit coordinator/charge nurse or preceptor when needed. BSN preferred; ADN or Diploma in nursing required.

Qualifications

• RN license current in North Carolina.
• BSN preferred; ADN or Diploma in nursing required.
• Six months to one year's experience as an RN preferred; operating room experience preferred.
• BCLS required; specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise patient care and nursing tasks performed by support staff.
• Direct and supervise RN when acting as unit coordinator/charge nurse or preceptor.
• Communicate changes in patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic results with physicians and team.

Provides direct and indirect care in the acute care setting.Provides care that reflects Initiative, flexibility, and responsibility.Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs.Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient's status, symptoms, and results of diagnostic studies.Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.Is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with appropriate supervision.Accountable for directing and supervising patient care and nursing tasks performed by the Nurse Aide I, Nurse Aide II, Unit Secretary, Licensed Practical Nurse, Operating Room Techs, Hospital Volunteers, and other support personnel.Directs and supervises registered nurses when assuming the rule of unit coordinator/charge nurse/team leader or preceptor.Graduate of approved school of nursing;

Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred. Associate Degree or Diploma in nursing required.Current licensure as Registered Nurse in North Carolina.Current BCLS required; specialty certification preferred.Ability to read and communicate effectively in English required.Additional languages preferred.Six months to one year's experience as an RN preferred; basic computer knowledge preferred. Previous experience in Operating Room required.
