Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a night shift setting. Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, medication administration, monitoring outcomes, patient education, and collaboration with the care team.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license, associate degree (bachelor preferred), and experience in critical care. Cerner/EPIC experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • RN with Florida license and acute care experience preferred.
  • Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with EMR systems such as Cerner and EPIC is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to coordinate care.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Job Description
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
