Endeavor Health's Edward Hospital Infusion Clinic in Naperville, IL, seeks a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s in Nursing and IL RN licensure. This full-time position (40 hours/week) involves infusion care, collaboration with physicians and the clinical team to ensure safe, compassionate patient outcomes.

The role requires BLS/CPR and provides opportunities to participate in nursing research and professional development within a Magnet-designated system.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Experience: 1 year RN experience required; oncology/infusion experience preferred.
• Certification: BLS/CPR as issued by American Heart Association required.
• License: Current State of Illinois RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises diagnosis and interventions as needed.
• Performs patient assessment and data collection.
• Communicates plan of care with patient and family, and documents data.
• Provides patient and family teaching based on assessed needs.
• Assists in wound/ostomy/skin care and infection control activities.
• Supports/hands-on with contrast injections, venipuncture, IV care as needed.
• Participates in performance improvement and nursing research.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse, Infusion Clinic

• Location: Edward Hospital - Naperville, IL

• Full Time | 40 hours/week

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 or 10 hour shifts available, with weekends (Saturday-Sunday) and holidays from 9am-11am rotates amongst staff

• Required Travel: May float to Plainfield Infusion Clinic, as needed.

A Brief Overview:

• The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will do:

• Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes.

• Evaluates patient?s progress toward attainment of outcomes, systematically revises diagnosis, interventions and expected outcomes as needed.

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers. .

• Communicates plan of care to patient and family regularly respecting the patient?s wishes through acknowledgment of patient/family perceptions of health and illness and mutual goal setting for optimal outcomes. Communicates patient data to physician and interdisciplinary team as indicated to achieve patient care needs. Documents patient health data, interventions and communications.

• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.

• Assessments patient?s cultural background, learning style, learning barriers, and modifies teaching plan accordingly.

• Provides teaching on disease management strategies, emergency care and drug information when appropriate.

• Identifies community resources to support patient self-management of disease.

• Interacts with and contributes to professional development of peers, students and other health care providers as colleagues.

• Shares knowledge, provides feedback and contributes to an environment supportive of clinical education.

• Assigns or delegates tasks as needed.

• Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support

• Provide assistance to technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, and administration of drugs, 02 therapy, and IV management.

• Participates in performance improvement activities and nursing research. Keeps abreast of research and practice trends in wound/ostomy/skin care through participation in professional networking, ongoing education, and self-directed learning activities. Supports staff in using research and providing evidence-based care

• If skilled, conducts daily rounds of wound/ostomy/skin care patients. Monitors effectiveness of wound/ostomy treatment plans and other aspects of wound/ostomy/skin care

• Complies with HIPAA regulations.

• Assist in the transporting of acutely ill patients as needed.

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, required.

• Experience: 1 year of RN experience, required. 1 year oncology/infusion nursing experience, preferred.

• Certification: BLS/CPR issued by American Heart Association, required.

• OCN/ONS certification, preferred.

• License: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure, required.
