Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks a part‑time Oncology/Infusion RN to provide bedside nursing, administer treatments, and implement physician orders. You will delegate to CNAs, PCAs, and other staff while evaluating care plan effectiveness.

Requires MI RN license, BLS, and PICC within six months. Prior acute care experience preferred. On-call and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice in Michigan.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• PICC Certification within six months of hire (not required for per diem).
• Preferred: six months of experience in acute care setting.

Position Summary:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Delegation and coordination of tasks and assignments of nursing care.
• Facilitates/participates in patient conferences.
• Identifies and provides the means to meet patients’ ongoing and discharge/transfer teaching needs by communicating with the appropriate resource persons and attending discharge/transfer planning conferences.
• Assumes the responsibility for professional growth by seeking out educational opportunities and utilizing programs in the hospital or elsewhere in the community.
• Teaches and/or guides professional and ancillary personnel.
• Precepts/mentors new employees and students.
• Functions as a team leader to ensure proper patient placement and delegation of assignments.

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holding a current license to practice in the state of Michigan.
• Must satisfactorily complete the first available Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Drug Course (Does not apply to per diem staff)
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross Certification.

Infusion Clinic

• PICC Certification within six months of hire/transfer (Does not apply to per diem staff)

Preferred:

• Six (6) months experience in an acute care setting or equivalent n an acute care setting or equivalent
