Job summary

Rock Health in Colorado seeks an experienced RN specialized in oncology to provide comprehensive nursing care across clinics in the Denver/Boulder region. The role involves independent and delegated medical functions, patient education, and care coordination.

Travel between clinics may be required; candidates must hold RN license, BLS, and ONCC chemotherapy certification. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of RN experience, including oncology within the past five years.
  • Graduate of an approved RN program with clinical experience supervised by faculty or preceptor.
  • Valid RN license, Basic Life Support certification within three months, and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification.
  • Strong customer service, critical thinking, IV skills, and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and emergency policies, demonstrating effective clinical practice and patient safety measures.
  • Assess health status through data collection and analysis, prioritizing patient needs and developing care plans.
  • Triaging patients via in-person or telephone assessments, initiating appropriate interventions, and following established protocols.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.
  • Execute delegated medical functions, including administering medications and therapies, in accordance with legal and clinical guidelines.
  • Coordinate care across services, manage patient populations, and support an integrated healthcare approach.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring needs are met effectively and safely.
