Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team and communicate changes in clinical status promptly to the team and family where appropriate.

Qualified candidates must be CT-licensed RNs with BCLS and ACLS certification. Strong communication and computer skills are required to excel in this role within Hartford HealthCare’s Greater Manchester

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current CT licensure.
• Certification in BCLS and ACLS required within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process to provide direct and indirect patient care.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate changes in patient condition quickly and accurately.
• Provide age-appropriate care across life span.
• Support professional nursing practice and report to Clinical Nurse Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.

COMPETENCIES

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language.
• Possesses basic computer skills.
