Job summary

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and clinical oversight for residents. The RN will supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality nursing care on the PM shift.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, administering medications, coordinating with the health care team, and ensuring safe discharge planning. California RN license and CPR required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Continuously assess residents and update care plans accordingly.

• Implement nursing interventions including discharge planning and education.

• Serve as a clinical resource and guide LVNs and CNAs.
• Conduct initial shift rounds to establish baseline assessment and oversee care.
• Direct and supervise daily nursing care delivery on the unit.
• Document care concisely and timely.
• Assume charge responsibilities and supervise unit operations when head nurse is absent.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines including Title 22.
• Foster a professional and collaborative working environment.
• Accept reassignment as needed to meet resident care needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

JOB DETAILS

• Please note, this position is non-benefitted*
• Pay Rate: $62.37/hr
• PM shift differential: $2.85/hr
• Weekend shift differential: $2.50/hr
• Hours: On-Call/Per Diem
• Shift Schedule: PM Shift, 3 PM - 11:30 PM
• Days Off: Monday - Friday
• Working Days: Saturday and Sunday
• Unit: F2
• Training: Approximately 2 weeks, Monday–Friday (Week 1: Classroom Education; Week 2: On-the-Floor Training). New graduate RNs require an additional week. Some scheduling flexibility may be available for on-call/per diem positions.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Current CPR certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Skilled in clinical assessment, supervision, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents for extended periods
• Ability to use proper body mechanics and assistive devices safely
