Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role involves caring for outpatient/observation patients admitted from the ED for short stays, typically 24 hours or less, with a variety of diagnoses including chest pain and asthma.

The RN will assess and coordinate care, work with a specialized team, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while supporting community health.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts (MA).
• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute or observation settings.
• Current BLS/CPR certification; able to perform adult/geriatric care.
• Experience with a fast-paced ED-to-observation workflow is a plus.

We care for a variety of diagnoses including chest pain, asthma, syncope, anemia, back pain, dvt, heart failure and many others.
