Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide compassionate patient care and lead coordination across departments. You will use the nursing process to deliver care, evaluate outcomes, and safeguard patient rights and confidentiality.

Ideal candidates will hold an RN license, maintain state requirements, and possess BLS/CPR certification. Additional certifications such as ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC may be required by unit and shift. Mercy supports ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program with RN licensure in the hiring state.
• Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification (or within 30 days).

Job description

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience:
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:

• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
