Job summary

Wayne Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for maternity patients, with a focus on labor and delivery.

The role requires PA licensure, 1 year of clinical obstetrics experience, and orientation; you will work with a supportive team, monitor contractions and fetal monitors, and assist physicians to ensure safe, compassionate perinatal care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in PA.
• 1 year of clinical obstetrics experience required.
• Participation in educational conferences and updates; maintain professional knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients in the department.
• Track contractions, operate fetal monitors, and administer prescribed pain relief medications.
• Assist doctors; prepare the delivery room and support obstetricians or midwives during childbirth.
• Manage labor, provide comfort, guide new parents, and support recovery.
