Mariner Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess and treat residents in accordance with physician orders and standards of practice. The RN will work within the scope of practice defined by the State, providing supervision to LVNs and CNAs.
Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, participating in care planning, communicating with physicians, and educating patients and families. Shift-based work and exposure to clinical environments are noted.
SUMMARY
Assesses and evaluates the health status of resident / patient and provides care and treatment in accordance with physician orders and standards of practice. The Registered Nurse (RN) works within the scope of practice as defined by the State.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises LVNs, Student Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Nursing Assistants
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
Shift work may be required. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, talk and hear. Employee will occasionally assist to lift and / or transfer patients weighing between 100 to 250 pounds. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Participates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident’s protected health information. Monitors and oversees facility’s efforts to comply with company policies, procedures and state and federal law. SALARY RANGE: $54.00 to $61.00 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
