Endocrine News in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a qualified registered nurse for a full-time night-shift role. You will assess patients, coordinate care with families and healthcare teams, and communicate clearly across all channels.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Illinois nursing licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families and healthcare staff in person and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Sign On Bonus: $25,000 for candidates with at least 18 months of experience within NICU clinical specialty (with parameters)
• Location: Arlington Heights, IL
• Full time: 36 hours a week
• Hours: Nights 7 pm - 7:30 am rotating weekends & rotating holidays

What you will do

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

What you will need

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
