Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for NICU/Labor and Delivery/Post Partum at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. The role involves direct patient care within the Maternal Child Health department, collaborating with leadership to ensure safe, evidence-based nursing practice.

The position requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and NY RN license, with BLS during orientation and ACLS by the end of Orientation.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing and an active NY RN license.
• BLS during introductory period; ACLS completed by orientation.
• Preferred: BSN; prior Maternal Child Health experience.

_ Registered Nurse - NICU/Labor and Delivery/Post Partum _

The Registered Nurse on Maternal Child Health is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients within the Maternal Child Health department. This position will work collaboratively with Unit leadership to follow the scope of practice for nursing governing bodies that apply to Maternal Child Health (AWONN, ACOG, NNA, AORN). These responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s physical, psychological, emotional educational and spiritual needs.

_ Roles and Responsibilities: _

• Provides skilled, high-quality clinical care while staying current with policies, procedures, and professional standards.

_ Required Skills and Experience: _

• Associates Degree in Nursing

• Will obtain BLS during introductory period, ACLS completed by end of Orientation

• Previous experience in Maternal Child Health

_ Physical Requirements: _

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.

• Full Time Nights
• 3x12-hour shifts/week
• Weekends and Holidays as assigned

_ Pay Range Disclosure: _

• Standard Rate of $38.63 - $47.18 per hour plus benefits
• $25k Sign on Bonus!
