Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit in Maine. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process, with collaboration across physicians and staff to achieve strong clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Experience in acute care hospital preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments per orders and hospital policies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Assist with procedures, diagnostics, patient stabilization, and other department-specific clinical interventions.
• Operate and monitor clinical equipment appropriate to the assigned department.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Bonus Amount: $20,000 for Registered Nurses with 2 or more consecutive years of RN experience. $10,000 for New Graduate Registered Nurses Bonus Information: Sign-On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates. Eligibility and payout terms apply. Details discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $36.00 to $49.16 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
