Job summary

The RN New Grad position at Onvida Health is a training/orientation role at Yuma Medical Center to develop the skills and critical reasoning for a competent inpatient RN. You will work under supervision from experienced nurses to provide safe care, applying theory to clinical practice and following preceptor guidance.

Minimum requirements include an Associate’s degree in Nursing, current AZ RN licensure (or compact state), and BLS.

Qualifications

• Current Arizona state RN license or compact state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessment & coordination of direct patient care.

Summary:
The Registered Nurse New Grad is a training/orientation position to develop the skills, knowledge, and critical reasoning to that of a competent registered nurse in an inpatient setting. Pursues experiences that serve to establish a basis upon which to guide practice and is expected to provide safe care with supervision and guidance from experienced nurses. Incorporates theoretical knowledge into clinical situations and is able to perform basic skills and carry out a plan of care. Identifies abnormal findings, but may seek consultation for solutions. Practice is primarily guided by Preceptor, referencing policies, procedures, and standards.
