Registered Nurse – Neurology Unit (Level 2 RN)

Location: Rochester, NY

Pay: $2,300 – $2,500 per week

Start Date: 04/13/2026

Contract: 13 weeks (option to extend or convert to permanent)

Shift: Rotating D/E/N (Days/Evenings/Nights), Weekends & Holidays as needed

Position Overview:

Join a highly specialized neurological unit within a leading academic medical center and gain hands‑on experience caring for complex and acute neuro patients. This fast‑paced environment provides an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

As part of a Joint Commission‑accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, you’ll play a key role in delivering advanced neurological care using cutting‑edge technology, including continuous video EEG monitoring.

Patient Population Includes:

• Stroke
• Epilepsy & seizure disorders
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Guillain-Barré Syndrome
• Other acute and complex neurological conditions

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neurological patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Support diagnostic and treatment processes, including EEG monitoring
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care

Schedule & Additional Info:

• Rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights)
• Weekends, holidays, on‑call, and callback as required
• 48 hours straight time available

Requirements:

• Active NY State RN License
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
