Job summary

Medical City Fort Worth is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Progressive Care Unit on the night shift (7pm–7am) with rotating weekends. Responsibilities include assessing patients on admission and during shifts, delivering high-quality care, documenting nursing actions, administering medications, and monitoring cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Applicants should hold a Texas RN license (or compact), have a bachelor’s or associate degree in nursing, and at least 1 year of nursing

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• RN licensure in Texas or compact license.
• 1 year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures as ordered by provider.
• Document care in patient records promptly and accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.

• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.

• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.

• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.

• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support required
• (RN) Registered Nurse Texas or compact license required
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree required
• 1 year experience Required
