Responsibilities

• Circulate a variety of neurosurgery cases in the Neuro Operating Room.
• Provide patient care and ensure safety and efficiency during intra-operative phase.
• Coordinate plan of care for assigned patients and consult with the care team as needed.
• Supervise other patient care staff and delegate tasks as appropriate.

This position includes call coverage. The call response time is 30 minutes.

The Work

The Neuro Registered Nurse in Surgery is accountable for utilizing the nursing process. safety and efficiency.

Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.

Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.
