Job summary

Pullman Regional Hospital is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the BirthPlace unit in Washington. The role requires active RN licensure in WA, BLS, NRP (within six months), STABLE (within 9 months) and AWHONN fetal monitoring (within six months). BSN preferred with obstetrics certification.

Expect flexible day/night shifts, one holiday per WSNA contract, and some weekend availability. The RN will deliver professional obstetric nursing care, assess patient needs, collaborate with the care team,

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (WA)
• BLS certification
• NRP certification must be obtained within six months of hire
• STABLE certification must be obtained within 9 months of hire
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification must be obtained within six months of hire
• BSN degree or completion within one year of hire
• Inpatient obstetrics certification preferred

Pay Range

The base pay range for this position is $42.43-$83.95 Hourly however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Work Schedule for this Position

This is a PRN position with the expectation that both days and nights shifts will be worked. Has to be available for 1 holiday throughout the year per WSNA contract. Some availability on the weekends is preferred.

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who implements and coordinates patient care specific to the patient population served. Ensures that quality care is provided in an effective and safe manner consistent with the hospital's policies and procedures and within the scope of the practice established by the State of Washington. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pullman Regional Hospital, the relationship-based care guiding principles, the philosophy of care, goals of the unit and organization, and demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice.

A Day in the Life

• Delivery of professional nursing care with the goal of safe and effective patient care.
• Gathers information to formulate a patient care delivery plan based on nursing assessment, utilizing evidenced based practices.
• Makes decisions based upon appropriate stewardship and professional nursing judgment, to establish an effective plan of care for each individual patient.
• Collaborates to promote a therapeutic relationship with patients and colleagues and maintains a professional attitude.
• Actively promotes and contributes to a positive work environment and encourages equitable division of workload with team.
• Stays accountable with changes in professional nursing and hospital policy.
• Completes regulatory and departmental annual competencies within the timeframe set by the organization.
• Demonstrates work effectiveness through safe completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner and uses appropriate delegation to assist in patient care.
• Follows high-reliability practices set by the organization and report safety concerns.
• Actively participates in quality improvement projects throughout the organization to support a safe work environment.

About You!

• Maintain active nursing licensure, in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington.
• One or more years of inpatient obstetrical experience.
• Active BLS (basic life support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification: Must obtain within six months of hire.
• STABLE: Must currently hold or obtain within 9 months of hire (if not currently holding inpatient obstetric certification.)
• AWHONN fetal monitoring: Must currently hold or obtain within six months of hire.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for specific department.
• Demonstrates the ability to learn, apply, and individualize new patient care skills and uses new equipment safely.
• Initiates and participates in activities that enhance daily operations of the unit and organization.
• BSN (or completion within one year of hire).
• Inpatient obstetrics certified.
