Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking an experienced RN to perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans. You will implement care according to standards, monitor responses to treatment, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes.

The role requires administering medications, educating patients and families, and coordinating with physicians, nurses and support staff. Florida-licensed RN with ACLS/NRP/BLS as applicable is expected.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active in Florida.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological and psychosocial patient needs as part of care planning.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; reassess regularly.
• Administer medications per orders; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care.

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
