Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a registered nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care at a competent level, applying the nursing process. You will collaborate with the health care team to deliver safe, effective care and support families and patients.

This regular, full-time position requires an Associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred), SC RN licensure, BLS and ACLS. Sign-on bonus of $30,000 is available for new hires with experience.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current BLS required; ACLS required.

Minimum Training and Education

Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.

Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
