Job summary

AdventHealth in Minneola, FL is hiring an RN for full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am). The role involves conducting comprehensive patient assessments, creating care plans, administering medications, and educating patients and families. Eligible clinicians may earn salary increases through the Clinical Ladder Program based on performance and advancement criteria.

Required ASN with RN license and BLS; BSN preferred. 1+ year acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Active RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and update them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments following orders and protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)

• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

Education
