Job summary

Henry Ford Health–Jackson Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical 7 South unit. This full-time position supports mixed acuity care, sepsis protocols, and a team-focused environment.

The RN will provide leadership in coordinating care, applying the nursing process, and ensuring patient-family teaching, while collaborating with health care professionals to meet patient goals.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Enrollment in BSN within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide and document care and teaching.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to the health care team.

• Mixed acuity units with progressive care and medical/surgical care

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
