Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical) to provide professional nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams. The role emphasizes patient education, timely documentation, and compassionate care.

The ideal candidate will hold a Texas RN license (or Compact), have BLS certification, and demonstrate strong communication and empathy. ADN/Diploma are acceptable with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas or Compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred; ADN/Diploma required.
• Reads and writes basic English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient and family needs.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing—Required
