Job summary

Novant Health Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, NC is seeking an experienced RN for the Medical-Surgical unit on nights. You will care for adult patients with diverse diagnoses, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Full-time role with Day 1 benefits and relocation assistance up to $7,500; requires BSN preferred and current RN licensure in the state.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• If RN license has been inactive for five years or more and not licensed in another state, required refresher course before reactivating license.
• Reinstatement must be applied within one year of completing the refresher.
• One year relevant experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients.

Facility: Matthews Medical Center | Location: Matthews, NC | Position Type: Full-Time | Work Schedule: Nights, 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients with a variety of diagnoses and needs.
• Assess patients, develop individualized care plans and monitor changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families while supporting a safe and positive hospital experience.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
