DayToDay is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our GI/medical unit, providing direct care for patients with complex GI disorders and coordinating transitions of care. The role emphasizes holistic nursing and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team.

The position is full-time, nonexempt, with variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, and offers competitive compensation and benefits to support professional growth.

Qualificações

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience.
• Current RN license and BLS certification.

Role Overview

This registered nurse position involves providing specialized care in a gastrointestinal/medical unit, primarily supporting patients with complex GI disorders such as bleeding, liver failure, hepatobiliary issues, cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease. The nurse will deliver direct patient care, patient education, and coordinate transitions of care, emphasizing discharge planning and holistic nursing approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care within the practice model, ensuring effective communication and documentation.
• Support patient and family education, focusing on chronic illness management.
• Participate in leadership activities, quality improvement, and mentorship roles.
• Assist with complex discharge planning for patients with multiple comorbidities.

Qualifications & Skills
