Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is a 170-bed acute care hospital offering 24/7 ER care, cardiology and more. This full‑time Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse role provides safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility philosophy, with professional leadership to the healthcare team.

The position includes a night shift schedule and full benefits, aiming to deliver Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Current NV nursing license.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (within six months of employment).
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in an acute care setting.

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill; integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to diagnosis and co‑morbidities.
• Consistently completes hourly rounds with purpose to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs.

This Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. This dynamic individual will provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
