AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida is hiring a Registered Nurse for full-time day shifts. You will perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans while administering medications per doctor’s orders. Collaboration with the care team and patient education are essential, with rotation weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing required.
• Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly update them.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Job Description:

Schedule: Full-Time - Days - 645a-715p - 3/12s - rotating weekends and holidays

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
