Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and revise care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, document thoroughly, and ensure safety and infection control compliance. An RN license and BLS/ACLS are required; 1+ year acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS & ACLS required.
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physical, mental, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly reassess them.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities, and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust for better health outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes.

Pay Range: $31.85 - $52.76
