Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3 West Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates; this is a full-time, 7a–7p role.

The RN will provide direct patient care from admission to discharge, document care provided, and uphold professional standards while applying evidence-based practices and critical thinking to prioritize patient needs.

Qualifications

• ADN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN licensure in Kentucky.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Crisis Prevention certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge.
• Review and document care, outcomes, and evaluations.
• Follow professional standards of care.
• Apply evidence-based practices to bedside caregiving.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
• Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care.
• Follows the professional standards of care.
• Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
