Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center, a 314-bed acute care teaching hospital serving Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster and surrounding communities, seeks a Registered Nurse to render professional nursing care using the nursing process. You will direct and support other team members, collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff, and provide age-appropriate care in line with unit standards.

BSN preferred; Texas RN license or eligibility; current BLS; and at least 12 months RN experience are

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Texas RN license or eligibility to practice.
• At least 12 months RN experience.
• Current department certifications as required by the unit.

Job Description

Your Job: Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Directs and supervises other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN Preferred
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Current additional certifications as required by department
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
• Work experience: at least 12 months RN experience
