Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse II (PRN) to provide individualized, goal-directed care to patients and families, applying the nursing process to ensure safe, effective treatment and coordination with the health care team.

The position requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), SC nursing licensure or a compact state, BLS, ACLS, and the ability to work variable shifts. Hours are 12 per week with PRN scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, ACLS also required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients using the nursing process to deliver safe, effective care.
• Interact with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results and coordinate care.
