Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Unit at Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital. The 30-bed unit cares for oncology patients and offers Chemo Certification after six months.

The dynamic Med Surg Oncology team emphasizes compassionate, holistic care within a community-focused environment. As a RN, you will lead care coordination, utilize the nursing process to assess and plan, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

About the Department

The Oncology Unit is a 30-bed unit, with 24 private rooms, and maintains a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. While oncology is the primary specialty, the unit also cares for patients undergoing bariatric, gynecological, and colorectal surgery. After six months, nurses have the opportunity to obtain their Chemo Certification, providing an opportunity to further develop their oncology knowledge and skills.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizing the nursing process, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.

SCHEDULE: (3) - 12 Hour Shifts, 7pm - 730am, every other weekend and rotating holidays

SIGN ON BONUS: $7500.00

• BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Certification/Licensure Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
