AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our hospital team. You will assess patients across multiple dimensions, develop care plans, and administer treatments following physician orders and protocols.

Collaboration with clinicians and staff is essential for delivering high-quality care. The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and RN licensure; 1+ year of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN.
• Experience in acute hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a care team and communicate effectively.

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills

Education:

• Associate’s of Nursing [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
• Med Surg experience highly preferred
