Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Canton-Potsdam Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg/West 3 unit. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, and deliver direct patient care on a 12-hour night shift with weekend requirements.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, discharge planning, and patient and family education, with collaboration with an unlicensed team as needed. NYSRN license and BLS are required; BSN and national certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school program
• Current, unrestricted New York State registered professional nursing license
• BLS upon hire, if not AHA must obtain within one week of hire date
• BSN from an accredited nursing school program (preferred)
• National Certification (preferred)

High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates could vary based on position details and FTE.
