Overview

The Registered Nurse administers nursing care within the scope of hospital policy and established standards of care and in accordance with the needs and/or wants of each patient. He/she develops and initiates the nursing care plan utilizing the nursing process. The Registered Nurse collaborates/cooperates with nursing staff and other hospital/health care disciplines for promotion of health to obtain the optimal level of wellness for patients, family, and community.

Education
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.
Experience
  • Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position
  • Professional appearance
  • Satisfactory references
  • BLS required, ACLS for specific departments
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
  • Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
