Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. You will coordinate with the health team, oversee LPNs/CNAs, and participate in clinical conferences while adhering to guidelines.

The role requires RN licensure in the state, BSN within four years of hire, and BLS-HCP on hire (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate). Relocation may be considered; full-time, on-site position with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• RN with ASN/ADN must complete a BSN within four years of hire unless 15 years of RN experience in acute care.
• Current RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS-HCP certification on hire or within 60 days; ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate.

Failure to obtain a BSN degree within that time frame may result in suspension or termination of employment. Any Registered Nurse who takes legally protected leave during the Four (4) year completion period may have the period extended by a comparable amount of time.Registered Nurses employed by St Vincent, Good Samaritan, St. Joseph, or Lutheran Medical Centers as of September 1, 2014 with only an ASN/ADN will be exempt from this requirement. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
