Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an OR Nurse Manager at West Hospital, responsible for 24-hour supervision and coordination of operating room operations. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive goals from data analysis and improve patient outcomes, while meeting unit KPIs and strategic initiatives.

Required: BSN; RN licensure in-state (compact options ok); 3+ years nursing leadership; BSN is mandatory with MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum experience as a professional nurse with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• BSN required; MSN or healthcare admin degree preferred.
• RN license in state of practice and current BLS/ACLS/PALS or as unit requires.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate administrative and operational activities in the assigned OR areas.
• Collaborate with teams to set goals based on data to improve patient outcomes.

Job Summary

• Provides daily operational oversight, management, and clinical support to the health care team.
• Serves as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource.
• Responsible for personal and professional growth as well as fostering an environment where interdisciplinary team members can contribute to optimal patient outcomes and grow professionally.
• Responsible for modeling core cultural and safety behaviors to eliminate preventable harm and implement high reliability principles.
• Responsible for meeting productivity targets for assigned department.

• Supports the mission and vision of the organization.
• BSMH nurses are expected to practice and deliver care in accordance with the core concepts and intention of the BSMH Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Education

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (required)
• Masters of Science Nursing or Masters in Health Administration or related field (preferred)

Required Licensing & Certifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to entering patient care setting)
• Certifications required based on the unit(s) that the leader oversees and the requirements for those specific units:
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred)
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred)
• NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program (preferred)
• TNCC Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (preferred)
• ENPC Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (preferred)
• National Board Certification Specialty (preferred)
• Nurse Executive Certification or designated specialty certification (preferred)

Experience

• 3 years minimum experience as a professional nurse with demonstrated leadership capabilities (required)
• 1 year experience in appropriate specialty area (preferred)
• Prior management/supervisory experience (preferred)
